Thyme (Thymus vulgaris) is one of the most antiseptic
essential oils. It contains thymol, which has been studied for its effect
on gingivitis and plaque-causing organisms in the mouth. As a dietary
supplement, it is one of the strongest antioxidants known, with an ORAC
(Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity) score of 159,590.
